Denice Rice-Kelly O.D.
Northwest Optometric Associates, LTD


Dr. Denice Rice-Kelly has been the owner and chief Optometrist of Northwest Optometric Associates, LTD since 1997.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the California State University at Fresno.  Dr. Rice-Kelly has a special interest and expertise in the areas of primary eye care, the co-management of refractive surgery and cataract surgery, specialized contact lens fitting and low vision care.  She is a mentor in the Ressurection High School Practicum Program, which allows senior students to spend several hours shadowing the professions they may be interested in pursuing.  Dr. Rice-Kelly has been a research consultant for several contact lens companies involving FDA studies and market research.  She served as a Doctor Advisor for a major eyeglass lens company for 9 years.  She holds memberships in the American and Illinois Optometric Associations.  Dr. Rice-Kelly and her husband are the parents of three children, and reside in the community of Northwest Optometric Associates.

 
Caitlyn McHugh O.D.

Dr. Caitlyn McHugh is the Pediatric/Binocular Vision Optometrist at Northwest Optometric Associates, LTD.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, where she earned awards for excellence in Vision Therapy and academics, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  She obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology form Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, where she also graduated with honors.  Dr. McHugh examines patients of all ages for primary eye care and contact lens fittings, but has a passion for working with children.  She has a special interest and expertise in binocular vision disorders, amblyoipa and focusing problems, as well as fitting specialty contact lenses for overnight correction of near-sightedness (Ortho-K).  Dr. McHugh is responsible for the Vision Therapy program at Northwest Optometric, and will be instructing fourth-year Optometry students in clinical care at our private optometry practice.  She holds memberships in the American and Illinois Optometric Associations, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and is a provider for eyecare in the Infant-See program.

 
Doctor Beth Mokaya O.D.

Dr. Beth Mokaya is an Associate Optometrist at Northwest Optometric Associates, LTD.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Concordia College in Moorehead, MN.  Dr. Beth examines patients of all ages for primary eye care and contact lens services, with a special interest in fitting multifocal contact lenses.  Dr. Beth has a passion for serving underprivileged populations and participates in local optometric mission work.  She holds memberships in the American and Illinois Optometric Associations.  Dr. Beth and her husband are the parents of two young children, and reside in Chicago.
