Dr. Caitlyn McHugh is the Pediatric/Binocular Vision Optometrist at Northwest Optometric Associates, LTD. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, where she earned awards for excellence in Vision Therapy and academics, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology form Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, where she also graduated with honors. Dr. McHugh examines patients of all ages for primary eye care and contact lens fittings, but has a passion for working with children. She has a special interest and expertise in binocular vision disorders, amblyoipa and focusing problems, as well as fitting specialty contact lenses for overnight correction of near-sightedness (Ortho-K). Dr. McHugh is responsible for the Vision Therapy program at Northwest Optometric, and will be instructing fourth-year Optometry students in clinical care at our private optometry practice. She holds memberships in the American and Illinois Optometric Associations, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and is a provider for eyecare in the Infant-See program.
