My Doctor in 2010
Top qualities: Great Results, Personable, Expert
“I first met Dr. Maino when I worked at Neumann Family Services. I was a case manager there and he ran (and still does) the eye clinic there. He was great with the clients and his medical students, especially assisting them with the challenges or working with adults with mental illness or developmental disability. Currently, Dr. Maino is my eye doctor. I was not aware of a condition that I have basically struggled with for about 15+ years. We talked about the symptoms I was experiencing and he helped me to understand what was going on. I now am in vision therapy. I did not know that vision therapy even existed until I started working with Dr. Maino and his staff. Although the exercises were difficult at first (probably from having the condition so long) I did notice instant results. I am on my way to recovery thanks to Dr. Maino! He is excellent in his field! I recommend him to anyone who may be having unresolved symptoms i.e. dizziness, headaches, difficulty reading or concentrating.” May 25, 2010

“Dr. Maino is a very kid-friendly optometrist as well as a highly recognized teacher and academic. He gives back to his profession and to the community at large and always seems to be available to answer questions about children's vision and the vision and learning connection. As a colleague I feel lucky to have him as a resource and I know the children in his practice feel comfortable with him as well.” May 24, 2010

He is extremely intelligent, and a well-respected professional. He is able to maintain a classical and traditional approach to optometry, while continuing to stay abreast of current ideas, approaches, and research. His progressive nature has enabled him to become an expert in Information Technology applications, including effective use of Social Media, Web Design, and Professional Blogging. Dominick's positive impact on the profession of optometry will continue to influence optometric practice for years to come.” May 24, 2010

“Dr. Dominick Maino has extraordinary skills in the pediatric area of Optometry. His knowledge base seems limitless and he has very creative ways of geting valuable information from young patients. The net result is that he is able to solve very complex pediatric issues as well as the more routine. This applies not only to his ability to deal with eye health issues but visually related problems in terms of the quality and the efficiency of the human visual system.” May 25, 2010
