Dr. Denice Rice-Kelly has been the owner and chief Optometrist of Northwest Optometric Associates, LTD since 1997.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the California State University at Fresno.  Dr. Rice-Kelly has a special interest and expertise in the areas of primary eye care, the co-management of refractive surgery and cataract surgery, specialized contact lens fitting and low vision care.  She is a mentor in the Ressurection High School Practicum Program (which allows senior students to spend several hours shadowing the professions they may be interested in pursuing), she lectures on Optometry as a career to Notre Dame College Prep students, and has served as an Illinois College of Optometry affiliated clinic mentor to 4th-year Optometry students.  Dr. Rice-Kelly spent the early part of her career as a research consultant for several contact lens companies involving FDA studies and market research and served as a Doctor Advisor for a major eyeglass lens company for 9 years.  She holds memberships in the American and Illinois Optometric Associations.  Dr. Rice-Kelly and her husband are the parents of three children, and reside in the community near Northwest Optometric Associates.
